Title of the Artwork: I Matter Too!

Artists Statement: Just like an atom which is made up of electrons, neutrons and protons an idea is like that too! An idea is made up of creativity, hard work and happiness. We all have these ideas and my song tells to share them to the crowd. It also tells the crowd to accept everyone. These sparks of imagination can go a long way so give a chance to everyone.

Title of the Artwork: Undefeatable

Artists Statement: My piece is about a person who is not very self-confident. Sometimes she feels a little lost in the shuffle and a bit invisible. In my piece, when it gets stronger and louder is when she realizes that her best friends don't see her that way. They look past how alike and different she is from them. She is stronger then she thought.

Title of the Artwork: MisMAtcHEd

Artists Statement: Ever part of the music is the voices of people saying why they matter-of course everyone has their own reasons as in this piece of music their voices are shown beautifully but other people's reasons are different so it's all mismatched. At the end you can see al the voices are together telling their reasons. Their voices do not go together and are better alone but no one's perfect and I put it together to show that.

Title of the Artwork: Everyone has a role

Artists Statement: I say every life is connected to the world and we need to help each other to grow. Then, I state that I am not flawless, learn from my mistakes, and try to express so we can move forward. I talk about spreading positivity to everyone through music and how it is important to connect with friends and family. For example, during COVID-19, I tried to lift peoples' spirits by posting music on social media. Overall I matter as I connected people, brought joy and positivity to the world.

Artists Statement: I am playing a tabla composition. A tabla is a Indian drum, it relates to the theme of "I Matter Because" I can share my music to the world and people can relax when they listen to the music. Music has the power to relieve stress and let people relax. This is how I matter and how I can make a change in the world through my music.

Title of the Artwork: Rippling Waters

Artists Statement: During this worldwide pandemic, everybody's life has been stirred up a bit. Because I am mostly at home, I am able to take time to reflect and start to appreciate the little things in life. When I picture rippling waters, I see a lake, with moonlight shining upon it, and a lone boat floating still on the lake. I matter because, through my piece, Rippling Waters, I hope to provide the audience with a break from our current reality, whisking them away to such a scenery, and allowing them to slow down, calm down and reflect.
